Hello friends!

I would like to introduce you to Amoriax, which I finally finished after a year  Facepalm
It is a tactical game based on ancient Roman board games. These games were built on the principle of simplicity - they usually had plain stones with some movement options, yet there was magical logic behind them. And few rules.

4 rules

● the game piece can only be moved to the last possible space in the chosen direction
● outside the marked central area, you can drag a stone into the letter L (just like a knight in chess)
● a playing piece can drag diagonally from a complete corner to the opposite corner
● the red stone is common to both players and can be drawn by anyone

The goal of the game is to dominate the center field with the crown.
Stones are not discarded, they are only moved where there is an empty space.

You can download the game Or play in the browser:

I hope, you will like it. Enjoy! Smiley

This is a nice little game, and after playing it once I understood how it works. The AI beat me.

Most people won't just play and try to figure out the rules, so you'll need a tutorial of some kind. Those are super difficult to make and keep fun. I'm working on a game "Power Circle" that is a turn-based tactics kind of thing like this.

It's interesting to see how the learning process goes for a game that is a zero sum turn based thing. And I hadn't played this one yet.

Lots of chess games these days have a kind of meta thing where you have missions and have to win certain scenarios in X number of moves. Also they give you avatars for online play as you do missions and so on, so even though it's just chess, there is a sense of progression. This game could be an Apple Arcade style game (If you can get Apple to talk to you about it, lol!) with a ton of meta progression and online matchmaking. But again, I can't get those guys to take me seriously, maybe you will have better luck.

Feel free to msg me @michaelplzno if you want me to take a look again!  Beer!

Hey, Michael,
thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, you're right, the intention is to make the board game as simple as possible and at the same time very variable.

I've added a tutorial to the app along with the challenges. So far trial 10, hopefully this is what you had in mind.

Otherwise it's hard to attract people, it always is, there's a lot of competition nowadays. I'm trying to keep my mind off it and improve it  Gomez

Thank you very much again and I'll be glad if you take a look at it!

Look at the apple arcade chess game, again apple always snubs me, but their chess app is super "gamified" to give you points/daily challenges/meta game/etc.
