Hey everyone, I was surfing around and stumbled upon this listing for a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the history of video games. I don't know if anyone has heard about this yet (I don't have T.V. so i wouldn't know unless the 'ol intranet told me) but apparently it is going to be a 5 part series that follows video games from their advent to the release of Super Mario Galaxy. Anyways, I figured I would let you guys know so I could watch it vicariously through you guys :D

Anyways, here is the link: The Rise of the Video Game

I just found the whole series on Youtube!

If anyone is interested I have linked all of the shows below:

Level Two, Part 3
Level Two, Part 4
Level Two, Part 5

Level Three, Part 1

I figured that everyone might want to take a look at this. There is a good deal of history there (focused mostly on Commercial games of course) and some interesting guests such as Will Wright, Peter Molyneux, Sid Meier, Toru Iwatani(creator of Pac-Man), Tomohiro Nishikado(creator of Space Invaders), John Romero (co-creator of Doom) just to name a few. Anyways, enjoy Smiley

Yeah, I was surprised it got put on Youtube so fast. I was expecting it to take a few months before I would get to see it (I don't watch enough Television so I don't have cable). But this AresBrutus guy rocks. I just got done watching the whole thing yesterday and I have to say it is the best television I have seen in awhile (aside from Heroes...damn writer's strike  Angry)
