What’s the Motivation?:
Our motivations behind these changes are due to our team realizing that our game was lacking interesting decisions. Our tutorial levels in the beginning were too simple and did not challenge the player enough both in terms of thinking and skill. Some of the controls were clunky and weren't intuitive to learn. We added the new content with the game's theme in mind, where the main character is late for a job interview, so they must rush over to the office building while keeping their suit clean in the rain. With the new large level and other adjustments, we hope that the player will be able to experience the game mechanics in a more smooth and fun way.
What’s Next?:
The new mechanics, features, and levels were also added with the game's future development in mind. We plan to add more to the large city level by adding a third section where the player must travel up rather than right as they scale a skyscraper with more challenging platforming. We also hope to add more theming and juice to the game with sound effects, more cutscenes, and more animations for game objects.
