In here, please share your brilliant BIGJam creations, be it things made during the three hour jams or as a weekend project. Games, music, art - it's all welcome! If you like, you can also add a few explanatory lines. Corpus will then have an easier time getting all the stuff ready for www.bigjam.org.

Here's the piece of crap (ha ha) I made. Thanks for letting me submit a game even though I wasn't there The story behind recording the conga game's sound effect sounded amazing. I will have to haul my ass over there next year.

Ah, good idea! Here's the first four (of eight) games I worked on: Airplane Adventures (Flash, Play Online)Made on the flight from Dublin to Berlin. The Baron’s Volcano Party (Flash, Play Online)For the first three hour jam, with Increpare, Pichtaco and Kekskiller. We had the themes "Centipede", "Speed", "Herrensouppe", and "Voodoo". DAS PÜZZELSPIELEN (Flash, Play Online)Slightly longer game I made on Friday/Saturday Morning. Music by Kekskiller! (and made on a KORG DS, which I am totally going to get a copy of) NUN SQUAD (Klik and Play, Download)For the second jam, with the dual themes "Concerned Nun Squad" and "Random". I'll post the other four soon (still need to finish two of them, hopefully will have that done by later today)

My first 3 hour game. Theme: "Random"Means you're playing a random sprite, shooting randomly sprited bullets in random directions. Every enemies splits into a random nummer of other enemies, so there's no real point... Done in pure C++ with SDL, no toolkits/premade code used! Music for Terry's "Das Püzzelspielen"Music for The Baron's Volcano partyBoth done with the DS-10, both loopable (albeit Püzzelspielen's loop isn't a perfect one). I also did a piece of texture, already posted in the pixel thread: And yeah, I wasn't very productive... That's totally normal for me .

DAS PÜZZELSPIELEN is quite good for a game made in that time

I thought the music you did for Terry was very very incredible. It actually made me jealous for barely doing anything. And it being made in DS-10 Really surprises me. Lovely, lovely tune.

Here the games I worked on. I'd say these should be seen as prototypes rather than proper games :D Croissant
A game inspired by "Don't Shit Your Pants" made in AS3. The point is to eat the croissant without getting killed in the process. Collab between chrisjan (code), qubodup (graphics), C418 (music) and me, made for the first 3-hour jam. Sadly can't put up a download yet, since the game is slightly broken. Will fix it asap. Random Space
Made for the 3-hour jam with the theme "Random". You play a fly in space and have to find something. Made in Construct. Bad Apple
Made for the 3-hour jam with the theme "Bad Apples". It's a shooter where the character can alternate between eating and shooting. When eating it can eat the smallest enemies, when shooting it can shoot them out again. If it hits a larger enemy the game is over. X for switching and C for shooting. Made in Construct. Realitv TV Action Game!!!
Made for the 3-hour jam with the theme "Reality TV". It's sort of a meta game I guess. Needs a webcam and internet to work. Instructions are in the game. Made in Construct (I was surprised it had a webcam object).

Little physics toy for the "communist bull rage" themed 3h jam: Download for Windows (no idea if this works, never exported a Construct game before) It's a one button game (though I only thought of this after the jam), hold Space to ascend, release Space to thrust forward. Make it to the, erm, Red Square. How fast can you go? It's also a commentary on how real-world communism stomped all over the socialist ideas of Marx and Engels. Except it's not.Did Peristalsis with increpare: Also did something for the Reality TV jam with György (me doing graphics and music/sound, it was oddly fun), but he's still working on it I think, so I'm not posting it at the moment. overdrive for the 1 hour music thing. I actually feel okay about this one, except that some transitions would have needed some more smoothing out. But I like it overall.

Ah drat bigjam.org is down
Argh, was it? I hate that. Well, it seems to be back up again. Dreamhost are good in that downtime tends to be very short-lived...

Hotlinking is totally fine. I have theories about the kinds of people who get all het up over hotlinking. Dark theories...

Hey dudes, here's the only game I was able to develop during the Berliner Jam. It's the first 3h game of the Jam, that turned out to be a 4 days game for me, and yet, it's still unfinished. However, I shall be able to refine it in the days to come, and get rid of a nasty bug that crash it violently Transparent Aluminium PlayfieldGfx : Ptoing Music : BMcC Script : Astrofra Click here to download the game (Win32 exe).*Instructions* . Download the archive . Unpack it, keeping the folder structure . go into the "Install me 1st" folder, and install both runtimes. They are certified and harmless. . launch the game with "start.bat" or "start".
