My two-person dev team, Quicksand Games, is hard at work on our first full game, We Want YOU. It is a procedural war game with a hint of satire, developed in Game Maker 7. We've created a unique procedural world engine that endlessly creates the level as you play.

See how long you can survive to continue the fight for Justice and Freedom!

UPDATE- We Want You has now been released, check it out on our site.

Here's some mockups for our upcoming game, FREEDOM:

FREEDOM is a mystery adventure platformer...

UPDATE- FREEDOM is currently in development.

Two more mockups, for a survival horror game and an arcadey shooter:

That's all for now.

I almost forgot to post here.

I'm the other member of Quicksand Games, as you might have guessed from my name. If all goes according to plan, we'll be releasing version 1.0 of "We Want YOU" very, very soon. I'm a perfectionist so it's hard for me to release something that isn't perfect, but it's playable and it IS fun and addictive, at least in my opinion. Whenever make a change to the code and go to test it in-game, I often seem to end up playing for 10-15min after I've tested what I needed to.

It still needs some tweaking, but hopefully there aren't any big bugs anymore. We still need to balance everything (the power and ammo counts for the secondary weapons, spawn-rates for things, etc.) but it's probably good to see what other people think about the current setup first.

That looks really promising, I love those little soldier kinds of games in that visual style. Looking forward to a release!

We've started on our next game, FREEDOM. Hopefully this project will have a shorter development cycle.

First in-engine screenshot of FREEDOM:

The engine and internal level editor are developing nicely. Teaser website coming soon.

We're also adding a new unlockable mode to We Want YOU, but a persistent bug is getting in the way of release.

I'm digging the art style for FREEDOM, and that survival horror sounds interesting. Can't wait to see what else you guys have coming down the pike!
