Kiss

with sound this will be incredible. the whole atmosphere is great. one suggestion. maybe glass should be blue? as an outlier it would stand out more and since glass is so mission-critical it'd help a bit... it does pervert the grayscale though...

either way, this rocks awesome time.

Also, Canabalt looks like the game I wanted to work on at TIGJam! Droop

I told him he was ripping off Undead Rundead.

Yeah, Steve had some crazy shit going on. I wanted to force him to turn it into a Hardwar meets Wipeout kind of game (with some pantyclad chicks piloting sexy Wipeout meets Elite style ships). Yes. Maybe some Ballblazer rotofoils and Tron tanks too.

The whole experience was kind of surreal, because that guy from Italian Spiderman (who opens the door and goes like OooOoooOOOooh ) was sitting right across me the whole jam.

And then there was Chris Taylor. But i dunno, I'm terrible with faces. It could be that.

Across from me. Damn you English.

Procedural levels could be fun, and probably pretty easy to do for levels which aren't very maze-like, such as the first Gradius level. Actually it might be relatively easy to do some kind of generated structures for tighter levels as well. Gotta watch out for nasty/impossible wave placement though. A different solution could be to have prefab sections (like Metroid screens) which are plopped down randomly.

Yeah, I was going to have a bunch of pre-made sections just placed together.  I'd probably rate each one for difficulty, and slowly increase the difficulty as the player gets more equipped.

Both of the entries were awesome.

Quick question, I don't recognize which design doc Adam's was from. Can anyone give me a link?

Mine wasn't a prom doc sadly, it was something i'd begun to prototype for the EGP - though to be fair, I already made a game based on Niklas's work Smiley  I was promjamming long before there was a promjam...
