Fireshaw is an experienced game tester. You could hit him up.
Wait what. Is fireshaw on these forums? I couldn't find him on the userbase! Nope, but we work together and he will be testing my game. I'm sure he wouldn't mind testing yours.

We all want to test, so you might as well just post the link in this thread. (And if you don't, I still want to be a tester)

Ok, I think this is enough. Let's say you're the chosen ones, and get to test the game along with Cosmic_Fool. So that makes 11 testers in total; good. good.
Today I'll add one easter egg to the game, probably finish tiling an area and, if Spelunky doesn't eat my time, also start working on the final boss. I'll have to start to think about the background graphics soon too...
the game still lacks about 4-5 tilesets, but things are going fast!

Since I'm no longer needed for tilesets, testing would be grea... Oh. Never mind.

Wait, I could do a tileset or two, if you could tell me what you need!

It appeared that Cosmic_Fool is about to do all the tileset still needed, so... Anyway, thanks for interest. Overall I think it's good that one artist does most of the tilesets - prevents clashing. Sergiocornaga and Eclipse, don't be in despair - I'm not sure if that last post was fully serious. I tend to send the test versions toanyone asking (which isn't perhaps the best way to work, but meh, I'm stupid).

Double (former triple, deleted the useless post in-between) post - I gotta think of some real stuff to post about. Next post will have screenshots, let's promise. Another near-useless update; I wanted to inform you that the game is doing absolutely great and improving furiously. I'm waiting Cosmic_Fool to do some tilesets, after which I'll be able to tile the areas not yet tiled. I also recaptured the game world so I can once again update the map. As you can see, a bit over a half of the game area is tiled and has nice colours! However, after I've implemented all the tilesets, comes a bit harder part - doing the backgrounds and environmental decorations. That'll take some time, but currently I feel like it can become quite a good show.

Ha, I love looking at the map. It's so intricate! It's fun to populate it with little imaginary details :D

I hope not all of them are imaginary, in the end.

Roarr! Got something new to show. While I've been waiting for Cosmic_Fool's new tilesets, I decided to start creating some background art for the game. I'm quite happy with them, actually. Roarr!I've done only a little part of the background graphics though; there's still a lot to do. I've been also pondering if parallax backgrounds would be cool for some parts of the game. By the way, does the blue look good? Should it be more red? Adding backgrounds is rather messy. After some thinking, I'll be adding at least these new gameplayal features to the game: - I'll start using a static savepoint system, with some specialities. Now I just gotta decide the places for the savepoints.
- I'll add maps as collectables to the game, and you can see the map in your ship and some other places, deeper underground.
- I should also think of some collectable that could be many in numbers, but should also be worthwile. Gems?
- I'll probably take the credit system away totally, because there's really nothing to spend your money into. The credits look cool as an explosion effect though.
I'm also going to redesign one of the weapons, but that doesn't really interest you since you don't know what the weapons are! Steady process, woohoo!?

NOT DEAD!I've been busy with other stuff, but getting slowly back to this. I'd need some feedback on which of these would look the best: (Don't look at that missing tile!) or or I'm trying to make the background seem rocky but not too intrusive. What do you think? Any opinions would be welcome, it's really important that the player doesn't kill his eyes because of bad pixeling work!
