So here it is, my first feedback (+devlog) topic, yay. I've been waiting for quite some time to open it, but now i think my current WIP has grown enough to be posted here. I've been posting screens in "what are you currently working on" topic, some vids, and now finally a demo.

it was called outcast back then, but i changed the name to fit current "story". oh, story is just a placeholder for action, so don't take it seriously.

so this is it: torquil is a platform shooter, where you kill bad guys, try to reach end of level, find your teammates, destroy big thingy at the end and escape from enemy territory.

some screens of current version:

also, a trailer:

(should work under vista)

i was thinking of putting this into feedback subforum, but it's still pretty early in development, so...

10 levels, 5 different types of enemies, two weapons so far, but i'm planning on adding more of course. also, i've been looking for some sounds and stuff, so those are coming too, so far only shooting and background music sound effects.

also, i'd be glad to hear if it's too hard, too easy or fine.

done a quick "fix" in the meanwhile:

DEMO 2 changes:
-added status bar, showing the game has been saved, you died,
 you took a screenshot...
-P key for performance boost (change % of particles)
-removed Escape key working only when you were alive.
 You can quit anytime now.
