Preferably a scrolling/wrapping level, obviously. Whole Level: Foreground: Background: Less Distracting Background: Alternate Background: Clouds: If I have one request, it's that the person who remixes the Seiklus songs makes sure to put in a portion from the Volcano level as well as the Overworld theme, and maybe a portion from the Muddy Underground level too.

Absolutely gorgeous. I would go with the de-saturated background, but the only thing I'm afraid of with this design is that the leaves would appear too wooden if they remained rock-solid while being jumped around on. Think of the SSBB Pikmin level.
Also, it would be better to ahve stuff going on in the background, such as the Seilkus guy running around instead of being a static image.

That looks excellent!
On the subject of wooden leaves- it would be true to Seiklus, at least.

At some point I should put in moving clouds like the other levels, so the background looks more alive or something. Also, it would be better to have stuff going on in the background, such as the Seilkus guy running around instead of being a static image. That's a great idea, although I would not know how to implement it well. I'm a sucky animator.

Surely you'd just have a separate sprite and within the game itself create a path for animation?

That looks beautiful!
When you say a scrolling stage, do you mean it would scroll automatically? It seems a bit small for that... or does it wrap around?

I love it! And I'll second the idea of having the guy running around in the background. possibly in several different places, like walking on the ground or sliding down the mountain.

Another thing - what are the chunks of brown stuff in the river supposed to be? I can tell it's something to do with the caverns/dinosaur bones, but I don't see how they fit in with the water?

The rocks seem a bit wierd, but otherwise it's amazing. Also, leaves can be stiff.

Yeah, I didn't quite know how to put the Mud Underground level in there so it looks a bit awkward.
This is just my own suggestion, but in Seiklus there are two overworlds: The sun-shiney one and the rainy, thundery one. It'd be cool if it would start raining at random times during the level.

It would look better If you picked colors from the level in the first post. especially the leaves and volcano.
