http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bobby-chiu-broadcasting

Here is a link I've been going to lately.  At 1am EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), Bobby Chiu, a professional CG artist, paints (photoshop) live and interactively.  He asks for suggestions on topics to paint, has everyone watching paint along, and talks the entire time.  He's very motivational and helps himself and everyone watching get pumped to continue painting for usually an hour or so.

He talks about life as an artist, life working on big time movies/games/etc., and his experiences in the field.  He also answers many questions people ask.  The entire broadcast is a lot of fun.

Sadly, my computer is too crappy these days to even run photoshop easily, not to mention the live broadcast through the browser.  Instead, I'm going to pixel, instead of paint.
If you'd like, join along.  You don't need an account, unless you want to chat.
You can watch his drawing and/or listen to his humor.

I hope to see some TIG members join in!  Paint, pixel, charcoal, whatever!

Wow, these guys are kinda nuts.  Any case, this looks pretty cool.  Don't have a twitter account, so, um, I'll be there in spirit.

You don't need an account for anything.  Watching and listening is all that's required.
Tonight's "assignment" was to draw a ronald mcdonald creature...I kinda forgot about the creature part, and I'm awful with ideas, so I stuck to a regular old ronald:

Tomorrow's broadcast will be EARLIER!
9pm eastern, 8pm central, 6pm western.

That's pretty much what I did.  Nice Ronald, especially the gold teeth; don't feel bad.  I actually started out to make a creature but it pretty much just turned out to be an ape dude with crab arms.  Live and learn.  And have nightmares.

I think it's time to sleep.

If you're in the Toronto area, Bobby also runs a subway sketch group which is a good place to practice and get critique from other artists first hand. Lots of great artists out there! http://www.imaginismstudios.com/subway-sketching

Really, it just makes me want hamburgers.   Well, hello there!  When do we get to do this again, anyway?
