Alright, so there's a 24 hour gamejam at my university, so we'll keep you posted on the progress here.  We're making a Metroidvania with a team of two aliens and a human trying to find space treasure.  The aliens have different forms of perception (one sees infra-red and one sees sound).  I'm already being a bit incoherent in this post, so we'll see what type of raving loony I become after we've been at this for a while.   Wink

EDIT:  So...er...yeah...I just realized that my original post left some room for ambiguity.  I'm working on a game about two aliens and a human, my teammates are not two aliens and a human.   Tongue  Also, we're calling this Planet PerceptionThe Optic Squad for now.

Sound-O-Vision!

Sound vision will be represented by dots emanating out of anything that makes a sound, and then bouncing off solid objects.  You'll also be able to create sound yourself for echolocation as the sound based character.

Here's a test of the sound objects:

The jam's over, and we came in second!

We got a demo working, but it still needs some work, so we're going to build a full level and then release it for feedback.
