My POS Graphics Card makes Tribes look like crap.

Jet Set Willy doesn't look appealing to me.

I assume WinBolo is still free.

There's FreeCiv, too.

There hasn't been a game night for a good four weeks or so, has there?
Mmm... I should start it up again.

I know of a few...

I know of Savage (which was released as freeware this year).

A friend of mine made this:

It's a stylish top-down shooter with multiplayer (up to 16) and a replay system.

Oddly enough I stumbled upon a two player mod of Death Worm the other day, which i never knew existed. Apparently a LAN version has been in the works for a long time (dunno if it'll ever be finished though).

Yeah, Savage is awesome.

As for Monochrome... Do you have Vista? You will most likely need the Game Maker exe converter to make it Vista compatible. I'll ask the guy who made it to make a Vista version.

There's also Gate88 and Continuum.
Nox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nox_%28video_game%29 is essentially free, and there are a few people that still play online.

BZFlag is a great diversion. It's the kind of game you can pick up and play for just 5 minutes or spend hours on.
