Fun !
I found the seeking missiles are the hardest to avoid especialy when the player is at the top of the screen.
Makes me think of Warning Forever for the concept.
Also it's cool that the collision mask is small.

I really like how you've given the player a reason not to just hold down the fire button 100% of the time.  Do not ignore it when it says you move faster when you aren't shooting.  It's incredibly useful for living longer.  I also think you did a great job making the risk/reward system of score vs proximity to the boss in a fun and intuitive way.

Anyway, I'm currently #5 in the hard mode rankings as Vanguard.

man this game is hard. my best was only 1490 on hard. very fun though, and addictive
