I'm hoping to get some good feedback this time around, and maybe even have stupid ideas laughed at. Now have some dump-worthy shit why don't you.    I really need a good, non-lined drawing pad.  |

Wow, thanks everyone! You're 14 right? You have a lot of talent obviously, and it seems you already have a surprising amount of techinque too  Yes, and thank you! I've been reading up a lot on colors, composition, but I don't know shit about technique. That all just comes from trial and error, I suppose. I also drew this quickie for a girl I like. Hope she likes it.   Haven't given it to her yet, so some last minute C+C is would be great! Danke. |

your framing is a little weird, you've got some odd tangential details going on there, like the wave splash
I'd like to see more of the sea creature, right now it's just vague tentacles that don't have a real anchor to each other or the piece
wish there was more detail on the boat, the chunky strokes aren't really working for me there - makes it seem almost a little unfinished, especially compared to other bits of the piece
what's the deal with the horizon? there's a wave and then it's just black nothing - no suggestions of the rest of the ocean even.
the person falling adds some nice intrigue, but might be nice to add a little more context: splash, tentacle reaching close to clearly grab the person, whatever
yeah, looking at it some more it just feels like you had a wider piece and then decided you didn't like the right side and cropped it out.

Yes, it should. Animals have a lot of character, and thus you should rightfully enjoy drawing them. You are not even close to reaching even remotely disturbing territory, so by all means continue.
