I doubt I'll finish in time (starting today), but it will be a game very much like the first text games I played on my Commodore 64 way back.

It will be set in your regular fantasy world, with orcs and stuff, and as the hero of our tale you will quickly find yourself in over your head...

Ok, I'm done Grin

Well, it's not big, I would have needed more time with it, but I don't have any more to spend now. At least you can play through and complete what there is.

I'd love to get some feedback on what works and what doesn't.

Game is here:

Very oldschool - just stuck my toe in the game, but I'll get back to it soon.

It's a pity it's so short, but I love what you've implemented! Definitely the most stylish entry to the contest   Kiss

Here you go: Give the medallion to the blacksmith, head north until you're captured, get the blood, head south to get your sword, and then just head north.

Yeah, sorry it's so short, I didn't really have time to make an entry, so only got to spend a few minutes here and a few minutes there over the course of a few days.

There's an alternative way to solve it as well:
give the medallion to the blacksmith, sit down and drink with the merchant to be captured, get the blood, head south to get your sword, and then just head north.

It is quite technically impressive!  Good job for "a few minutes here and a few minutes there" Wink
Enjoyed checking out the source Smiley

Thanks, but I did have the engine when I started out, so it was basically just the GameState_Ingame.cpp file I wrote for this entry... and that code is quite messy  Embarrassed

This reminds me of Penumbra: Overture in that it's small but has obvious potential for expansion. You really should make it bigger! Grin

I also love the old game feel. It's very well-done.
