This competition made me to register on this forum, great compo idea!

I'll try to participate to the first part with a song and if there are any interesting and inspiring art, I'll try to code a game for the second part.

I've yet to hear if it's okay to participate in both parts, and under what conditions. I have ideas for some graphics and I want to make a game as well.

This is probably one of the best compo ideas I've ever seen.
I'd love to participate (and maybe I will) but I'm currently swamped with work.
Maybe I'll contribute just one sprite or sound effect if possible. Anything to help.

Nice, good to see so many new users registering for this compo.

Sadly I won't have too much time in November to contribute art for part 1, but I might be able to put together a few music tracks.

Can't wait for part 2!

Cool!  Making assets takes so much longer for me than writing code (good thing I'm a coder instead of an artist, isn't it?), so it'll be nice to have someone else do the hard part for me! Smiley  Hopefully I'll have enough time in Nov-Dec to write a game and use all the cool stuff I'm sure people will create.

Someone asked about having game engine code written before part 2 starts?  Is that okay?  I'm thinking just input handling, basic image display, collision detection, that kind of stuff.

That's fine as long as you're not writing game specific code.
