You suspected right. What I've shown off so far is pretty much how the finished product will look, so people won't have to mentally layer images on top of each other to get that effect. Since yesterday was a bit of a non-event here's a WIP of a knight on horseback.

Finally actually got something worth posting about (first page, look look look). That fucking Torchlight game, it damn near killed any drive I had for anything.

These awesome, I just want to grab out and play with them as little figurines. You should make a couple of towers or something.
Maybe some UI stuff too, like selection circles and arrows.

Stopped with all the Torchlight to do another horse. I think I might take a break from spriting to add those little bits onto the tops of the floor tiles since popular demand (all three of you) has decreed that I do so. I can probably get that knocked out in under an hour and I am only saying an hour because I've forgotten how many I've done (that was aaalll the way back on page one, which is like off in the distance). It might give me an opportunity to expand the swamp tileset of which I seem to remember not doing much of.
EDIT: Several stealth updates later and I've redone all the tiles and added a few new walls to boot.

Another of those comparison images I'm always springing on ya. Swamp tiles old and new which I think are an improvement but that's just me. I'm more interested in hearing what others think of such a development.

Just a head's up, more tiles are done. I think I have enough now, you can pretty much make any kind of environment you want outside of volcanic and frozen northlands (well, you could probably use some of those muddy tiles in the desert section to fake it I suppose).
Also in this update are some modifications to trees. I put a light border around them so that they would be much more visible on grass tiles as they were blending in too much. I've experimented with a few different shades of green which you can see in those last three ones which met with varying degrees of success at standing out, so I wouldn't have to have a border.

I really wanted you to do snow, but I didn't want to ask since that would be breaking the rules.

I wasn't originally going to do it but I just thought to heck with it, it will give me another opportunity to further put off drawing more sprites.

Massive update to scenery.png, with trees in varying climates (those those bare ones in the frozen section look a bit dead. I might have to put snow on them), some graves and even mangroves (with their pneumatophores and a nice little reflection underneath). If you squint really hard you'll see needles on that cactus and possibly a trip to the eye doctor.

Indies against curves™ has a huge dude-related update yous. Check that first page pronto. I've really got to get rid of all that white space.

I've done about all the tiles I intend to do. How much more do you need anyway.

I am quite happy with the tile set you provided. In fact I was quite happy with the tile set you provided on your first day. Everything else is bonus, epic bonus. I would like some dead bodies and flaming wreckage, but those things are readily available from other artists in this completion.
