I wasn't thrilled with the existing "victory" sound effect I uploaded before (those orchestra hits sound just a little chintzy), so I made a new one with electric guitar, violin ensemble, flute, snare drum, and orchestral bass drum. I think it sounds way cooler.

Level Completed Fanfare - a "hell yeah, you beat the level" fanfare

This also would work well as the victory fanfare at the end of a battle, for those of us planning on making RPGs. Smiley

Okay, I just threw together my first track: electronic dungeon-delving music loosely inspired by Eye of the Beholder. It was really quickly made, but I think it's pretty catchy. Get it here:

Exploring the Depths

I would suggest making this track loop back to a point 4.24 seconds into the song rather than looping to the very beginning, but of course, that's up to you.

Yeah, this pretty much kicks ass.

All right: this thread is finished. The damage is 5 songs and 14 sound effects--not too shabby.

Je adore "Funky, Funky Spy"! I imagine that might work well in a game combined with the graphics I did: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=9437.0 don't you think so? Smiley

ah yeah this is pretty much perfect. i wonder if you could sneak in some music-appropriate sound effects that could be played in time with the music? derek, would that be allowed?

That's an interesting idea. It's probably too late, but what sort of sound effects were you thinking of?

So, now that we're well into part 2, who has actually used any of these songs / sound effects? Just curious. Wink

We used the "Bell Arpeggio" sounds and the "Level up" sound;

Thanks for making awesome sound effects! most others were lo-fi and while nice they didn't really fit with our game.

I used your "Level Up" sound as a "Level Complete" sound.

Quick update: you can now get a commercial license for all of the songs and sound effects in this thread. Look here for more info on how to do it. Smiley
