What a great list! I haven't played Fraxy yet. Looks neat.

P.S. It is "sumotori", not "sumoroti". Tongue

Best Games Not On "Best Freeware Games of '07" List:
Lunaria

An amazing horizontal Star Soldier-like game by Hot Pulse (French-Bread collaborators and makers of Bike Banditz)! By far the best freeware shooter of the year;

,

etc are much better but you said "freeware" not "indie" Sad

Runner Ups:
Iwanaga
Guxt
Echoes

Special Mention:
Blocksum was released on 31/12/2006 but it's SO GOOD

Really though, thanks for going to the effort of making this list. I can't say I agree with most of the choices, but all the games you listed are definitely worth playing Smiley

Yeah, it looks like Lunaria was originally released in 2006. I do love Hellsinker. Trouble Witches never really got my attention. I'm pretty sure Echoes was released in '06 (I still can't get enough of it). I didn't like Iwanaga that much. Blocksum is incredible. I'll try Guxt again. Don't worry, I'll be adding more categories as they come to mind.

Argh, you're right; I just checked Lunaria's site and it was released on December 30th last year Sad Echoes was definitely released in '07 though (either late Feb or early Mar).

Thanks, I can't wait to see them! You've already mentioned a few great games that I hadn't gotten around to playing yet (Varia, Mr Blocko) and I bet there are more to come. (Side note: Thanks! The 4th boss was such a bitch)

edit: oh, you've added some categories already. MinishoterRS Delta looks fun Smiley
