Here's my thread for art assets.  It's mostly hi res vertical shmup type stuff plus a character portrait of the whiteship's pilot and a brawler version of the same guy.  I made them pretty large for people making 3D games in Unity, so resize as needed.

Hand Thumbs Up Left Good luck on Part II Hand Thumbs Up Right

Sos made a 3D model of it HERE. The texture should be replaced with THIS ONE that has no shadows. Thanks Sos! Here is a small preview:

Projectiles for the whiteship and also some glow effects for overlaying and blending:

Pilot for the whiteship.  Here is the hi res psd file with different expressions (3.3MB):

The hi res photoshop file is better than the below sprite sheet.  The sprite sheet should work, though, if you don't have Photoshop and you're using Game Maker.

UPDATES: I've cleaned up some of the images since posting them, so everything above is finalized as of right now (Nov 29 12:25am CST)  Good luck on part II everyone!

UPDATE 2: I found some time today for an enemy ship (6 versions) NOW everything is up to date (Nov 29 11:43pm CST)

Thanks.  My stuff usually turns out cartoony.  I think I play too many Nintendo games.

Cartoony's good as long as it's done well, like anything else.

Very true.  It'll test my animation skills which suck in general.

Cartoony's good as long as it's done well, like anything else.

Also very true.

Thanks for the comments, everyone  Smiley  It's crunch-time for some freelance stuff I'm doing right now.  Hope to be done with most of it this weekend.  Then I'll be able to make some more.

Looks like I'm in a shooter mood.  Here's another ship (1024x1024 in case someone is doing textures in 3D or something.  Resize as needed).  I couldn't decide between keeping the wings or not so I'll submit both.  I suppose the wings could be a power-up. Faster movement perhaps, but wait! that's for you to decide!  Hand Metal Right

The amount of mixed media used in this compo will be glorious.

These'll look best against a very dark background color because of the cast shadow.

Small update: I decided those jets could be trouble with no animations, so I altered them a little bit.

Thanks.  I think I was thinking of Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion while drawing it.  I've never watched Evangelion, but I hear it's good.

That gave me an idea, some decidedly retro anime character portraits could be really funny.  A perfect setup for an extremely poorly translated yet story heavy shmup RPG.    Wink

Speaking of, I just got a spam email for a game with the slogan "The best hero is YOU!"
