wow so awesome!  Just wondering what do you have in mind for the boxed in sprites of the characters/some monsters

I thought it would be cool to have the option for player portraits in the UI or dialog/ conversations... or story moments. You could also imagine having a health bar with the player portrait and each enemy you fight displays a bar with the enemy portrait and enemy health bar. That would require portraits for all enemies but that would be no problem and I might go ahead and make those.

Really awesome, man. I think you need a "stairs going up" tile though.

Aye! Inspired by your original post (I credited you at the top) - I wish I knew you were making more I wouldn't have spent so much time on it Smiley In any case the world tiles are much different and there are a lot of different monsters, portraits, fonts, and other options here people can pick from. And I love the new ones you've done.

About 3/4 of the way down the sheet, you have some thin brown lines. I'm guessing you intended for these to work as the borders of text areas or something like that? Well, if you added some 3- and 4-sided versions, these could work as room boundaries as well. (e.g a U shape in all 4 directions, and a full circle).

You and the person who inspired this should work together. Make an awesome sprite-sheet!

His sprites are locked to 16 color and are sort of a 2.5D environment which looks amazing. I went with more shading, a top down environment and different dungeon types and stuff so I think they are best kept separate for consistency - but he (oddball) should fee free to grab any monsters or items or anything he likes and include it in his set!

Going to most likely wrap this up and put them into sprite sheets if there aren't any more specific tile requests.

How about some mountainous tiles? Like rocks, etc.

How about building exteriors? Somebody might want to make a game with an overworld town, like Angband.

Dammit Oryx seriously, this is so awesome.  I think...I think I have to do it now.  WTF

Are you gonna line up all the tiles and such, to make it easier for loading?  If so, I sense some flixeling in my future.  Seriously, this is great work.  Now I just gotta find some SFX to go with it...

Yeah I'm working now on putting it all on a happy 8x8 grid with transparent color and breaking it into character/environment/object bitmaps. As for effets obviously that is a bottomless pit depending on what you're looking for. I'll make sure to at least supply a few blood splats, magic bursts, fireballs, etc.

Yeah, some physical effects might be a good idea.  Like a sword slashing effect or something.  Some more variety in the outdoor tiles could work nicely too.

I'm really liking the fonts.  Beer!
