So this competition is just too cool and so I felt compelled to participate. I'll be putting a bunch of odds and ends in here depending on what I feel like making. At first I was going with a chess theme that eventually just turned into a medieval theme, and I'm not sure what's up with the giant computer/machine thing on the right.

That is really cool, I love the black/white and the gothic medieval chess theme! You definitely should finish this out.

Um, that's obviously the giant evil machine that is controlling and forcing all chess pieces to try to take over chessland and what you have to destroy.

Dear god! You have to animate those, and be ready to brace for epic I really like this style and would love to work with this, and possible even more like this, in the second part of the competition! Cheers!

Thanks for the nice words everyone. Here's a few more characters and props: I'm plan to animate a few this weekend.

I feel obscurely reminded of those side-scrolling AD&D games for the NES. Maybe someone more skilled than me could use these assets to create something like these games that's actually good. Or at least, y'know, playable. :D

Been working on a few more random sprites: I also animated a walking golem-like thing: and added a few more characters and props: I'll be cleaning these up soon and actually organizing the tiles and characters

hey these are pretty rad, man. With some more character animations this would be a right pretty set for a game-based game. Keep 'em coming

Love the style here -- With that first knight on a horse, I almost expect to see a windmill.

Awesome stuff! I love the little details such as the spinning lower part of the golem body.
