During the last week I wrote some articles about the development of Grappling Hook and game development in general:

- Work-Flow: From an Idea to a Polished Level
- Tutorial: How to Create Levels for Grappling Hook?
- Free Tools in Game Development – Part 1
- Game Development In Java

More will follow.
Comments, feedback, and questions are always appreciated!

Just as I start to get into Java I find this, amazing.

Really cool articles there, I love when people do things like this and Grappling Hook was an excellent game, I'll comment more when I finish reading all of this.

Thank-you for posting these, I really enjoyed the work-flow article.  You have a lot of good advice in there.

This is most important to improve the guiding, because as a designer you see the level totally different. You know exactly, where you are, how the level is constructed, and how you can solve the puzzles.
This is so true... I've been doing a lot of bug testing lately for my later dungeons and I'm always amazed at how I'll assume someone will be able to figure something out, when in reality it's actually a lot less obvious than it seems.
