Decided to use my remaining time in the part 1 to create and animate a single character, that I'd use as main character in my own game (and of course anybody else would be free to use as well) I honestly had no idea what to do exactly, so I just concocted an in-joke-heavy mascot of sorts:  It's a very crude sketch (hands are still my weakness) and everything in the design is prone to change. I just put down whatever generic crap came to mind. Still, I'd like to know what you guys think. |

Something that could be used as some kind of icon or background for EXPOSITION TEXT SCREENS.
That's cool - generic enough that it could be used for any number of fantasy-type backstories: In the (time/age) of (legends/heroes/wonder), when (dragons/wizards/elves) walked the (land/earth/world of man), a (dark lord/barbarian horde/undead army/encroaching evil) (gathers to the North/grows in power/threatens the very fabric of the universe). Only one (man/woman/anthropomorphic cat/Japanese schoolgirl) can save the world! |

If I were you I'd just pick one character and fully animate it, then do more if there's time. With college and work, and my lack of animation experience, it's becoming more and more likely that I'll have to scrap TIGerKid.  I'll try again tonight, see if I can't do some form of simpler animation style or something. Does anyone have tips on the fastest way to animate something? If all else fails I'll use the rest of the deadline to make some other stuff that's been missing around. Like badass backgrounds. There are some, we just need more and better. |
