It's definitely shaping up nicely. I'm currently playing the free version of Legends of Norrath, a game pretty much similar to yours (at least as far as genre). The thing especially good about that game actually ís the complexity. As a direct consequence though, it's by no means an easy game and fortunately there's "huge" tutorial, so there's not much wrong in the sense of learning people the basics, but I had to go over the tutorials twice. That may scare people off, but I'm sure that during your beta and so on such potential problems will surface.
I do hope that you're able to maintain a somewhat speedy gameplay. Looking forward to this game already though.
I downloaded that game and am checking it out. Its definitely a little more "card gamish" in terms of the battles but its got some interesting ideas. Looks nice also. Some of the interface stuff has given me a few ideas.
How do they handle the free version? What do you miss out on? Also, I'm still debating on how to charge for my game. I thought about selling packs but I'm leaning against that now. As of now I kind of want to do a small monthly payment thing but with people to be able to play for free with limitations (maybe a trial period, or no leveling up or rewards, etc). Still thinking...
