I have started working on the story about a month ago, I am somewhere in halfway I believe. Some screenshots below. Interactive story about liberation.

Just one point:
art styles are varying a lot. first you have unshaded pieces, then shaded, then gradient.
IMO it conflicts a lot...

Just look at it as being a piece of interactive art, or fiction, moreso than a game, and it all works out, no?

I think the term "art game" describes games that focus more on the concept behind their art assets than on making a gamey game.
