I suddenly remembered a game i played back in 1995 and by some crazy luck i found it on the net.

It's like Flashback, but with dinos and some seriously awesomely bad writing.

There is a download link on that page.

You have to extract it into c:\bermuda then download the ini file from that same page and put it into c:\windows

This game is so fucking bad ass!

That was a Russian attempt to do "Flashback" again and I think it was a success. Despite what the credits say the game was developed by just 2 people - one programmer/artist and another artist (That was in the interview they did during the development of their next game "Tunguska" - here's its mobygames page http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/tunguska-legend-of-faith. They've added more people to the credits as per publisher's request since "it didn't look impressive enough with just two people in it"). Cutscenes were done by some German company...

The game is also available to download from The Underdogs (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?gameid=1673) and some other places, but I'm not sure how legal it is since I can't find any info on it and non-Russian speaking countries...

Also this duo had a dos game developed called "Sobor". It's a weird fighting-team-rpg hybrid that's quite hard to play, here are some screenshots: http://www.ag.ru/screenshots/sobor

The game is abandonware, so i'm pretty sure it's legal to download. The Underdogs has some seriously shitty bandwidth, so i would suggest the link i posted.

This game does look sweet, but the .7z file was corrupted  Huh?  Guess I'll give it another shot.

I do love games like this, though... Flashback is definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

One thing that might not be clear is the the executable is in the scn/ folder under bermuda, not in its root.

Wonderful... when I first installed the game all I got was a black screen when running it.  So I updated my DivX codec to play the intro and cutscene movies, and now the damn game won't run at all.

God dammit  Angry

Lol, I tend to do that too, makes you feel important.  :D  Cool

I'd do the opposite, and try and put as few people as possible in my games. I think it looks more impressive when there's only two people making an incredible looking game than when 100 people make the same game.

It's a sign of responsibility though; if the game is crap, and it's only got your name on it, then it's clear who to blame.

If you're going to be picky abandonware isn't exactly legal, but the only people who give a shit are lawyers - no-one loses money over it - so there's no moral constraint.
