I haven't posted much about flixel here lately because I haven't done much, sadly.  HOWEVER that all changed this week.  Thanks to Canabalt sellin' like hot-cakes, I got to take almost FOUR WHOLE DAYS to dedicate JUST to pimping flixel out in a serious way.  Here is the mammoth change list:

DISCLAIMER TO CURRENT FLIXEL USERS:

This update will break EVERYTHING!!  It will break all your codes.  None of your codes are safe.  All of the old tutorials are broken now, everything is wrecked Smiley  Except Mode, FlxTeroids, and FlxInvaders anyways.  It shouldn't take too long to repair things, but I would plan on spending at least a half hour getting existing projects working with the 1.40 codebase.

Anyways With the compo already here and LD16 coming up like...tonight, or something, I hope that this is a cool and useful thing for people.  I'm really happy with where it's at right now.  LETS MAKE SOME GAMES!!1

You're awesome, but you lied to us. You said you were not going to make (minor/major) updates any soon. Now it won't work with my custom version of the Flixel.

hahah i said that like 3 months ago!  i didn't do anything for long enough i think.

THANKFULLY this was the last/only major, totally code-smashing overhaul that flixel will ever get.  i hope.  because it took forever and was stressful!
