BirdyWorld It's BirdyWorld, a collaborative Zelda-like! The world starts out blank, and is created by the players as they explore it. And it's all stored online, so everything you make becomes part of everybody else's experience. DownloadThis version was finished before the deadline, and should be the one to be judged.Or Post-competition updated downloadThis version has been updated after the deadline, and includes a few extra things that didn't get finished in the previous version. Major changes in the updated version: - Improved map with store icons
- Info shop, for player and dungeon whereabouts
- Warp shop, for easy travel between warps
- Various bugfixes regarding strife levels and enemy placement
- Fixed capacity for multiple worlds
- Strife check icon now lights up if there's treasure on the screen
- Strife system modified; may make adventure 1 seem a little unusual
- Yet more bugfixes

I have some grand plans, but I may end up running into my own technical limitations. At very least, you'll get an armed bird runnin' around.

Aw, man oh man! I was struggling with a technical problem for the last few days that very nearly killed this project straight-up. But I just solved it! I just wanna jump for joy! I'm totally gonna make a game now!

What WAS this technical problem??
Edit: Also, I wish I was being this creative with assets.

Nah, jumping was super-easy. But I can't tell you what the problem was, 'cause that would ruin the surprise.

Gaah... I can't go on! I have to sleep!
I'm afraid that there's quite a lot I left out, as always. Particularly music and sound. I really didn't want to leave it without sound.
But anyway, it should be whole and stable, if a bit lacking. With some untested bits I hope will work on faith.
Enjoy!
EDIT: And I'll have to wait 'til later to make a full asset credit list, 'cause I used a whole bunch...

Really cool idea, wish I could know which side of a screen would be an empty void when I'm building, though...

Gah... I'm catching all sorts of little bugs. Not enough to force a version update, but just don't try to buy shop tokens unless you've got the latest version now. Really cool idea, wish I could know which side of a screen would be an empty void when I'm building, though...
While you're building? If you can place tiles up to the edge of the screen, there's a void on that side. If you can't, then you share that edge with another screen.

This looks really fascinating. I'll definitely check it out.
Is Fifth set to impress yet again in a TIGS compo? Stay tuned.

Although I still think it would be convenient to have a visual cue, at least in the build mode. By the way, thanks for using my girl turtle (gurltle?) I think it's the only completed game that used a turtle, lol.
