Hahah wow.  I only saw the first video, but what effort!  Great stuff Smiley.  Just the live action part in the beginning was enough for me.

HAhahaha, My Brother showed me that Yesterday and I was totally going to post it too. My favorite ones are the First one and the Movie Recap one, not to say that the later ones aren't Genius.

Amazing, really.  How much humor we get out of garfield, and how much of it is for reasons that probably aren't what Jim Davis intended.  (Although it's fun to think - what if he did?)

On a tangentially related note, (for those who haven't seen it already) I present to you a new way to view Family Circus.

The first one is remarkable, by far the best. I love the name abbreviations in the Final Fantasy battle.

Ha ha! A couple of those made me laugh. Specialy the one about killing a god Smiley
I gotta check out that garfield thing soon. I only watched part of one video so right now, I'm still not sure what this is exactly... Tongue

This reminds me..  Someone discovered that all of Garfield's thought bubbles are either redundant or otherwise just detract from the strip.  If you remove them..

I think I've got the link here somewhere..  found it: here

There's also Arbuckle, Garfield strips redrawn without the thought bubbles.

Copy and past that in a text editor and save it as a html page

Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>The Eagle_Fire Garfield Randomizer</title>
<style type='text/css'>
td {
 overflow: hidden;
 text-align: left;
 vertical-align: top;
 max-height: 200px;
 max-width: 180px;
 }
img {
 position: absolute;

 }
</style>
</head>
<body>
<table border=1><tr>
<td width=200 height=180 id=td1> </td>
<td width=200 height=180 id=td2> </td>
<td width=200 height=180 id=td3> </td>
</tr>
<tr>

<td><input type=checkbox id=ck1>Lock</td>
<td><input type=checkbox id=ck2>Lock</td>
<td><input type=checkbox id=ck3>Lock</td>
</tr>
</table>
<script language="JavaScript1.2">
function fmt(n) {
 n = Math.floor(n);
 if (n < 10) return "0" + n;
 return n;
 }
function load() {
var t = new Array("td1", "td2", "td3");
var c = new Array("ck1", "ck2", "ck3");
for (i = 0; i < t.length; i++) {
 if (document.getElementById(c[i]).checked) continue;
 year = 2001 + Math.random() * 4;
 month = Math.random() * 12 + 1;
 day = Math.random() * 30 + 1;
 panel = Math.random() * 3;
 if ((new Date(fmt(month) + "/" + fmt(day) + "/" + fmt(year))).getDay() == 0)
  day = (day + 1) % 31 + 1;
 if (month == 2 && day > 28) day = 28;
 imgurl = "http://images.ucomics.com/comics/ga/"
  + fmt(year) + "/ga" + fmt(year % 100) + fmt(month) + fmt(day) + ".gif";
 tu = document.getElementById(t[i]);
 tu.background = imgurl;
 tu.style.background = "url(" + imgurl + ") " + -200 * Math.floor(panel) + "px 0px";
 }
}
load();
</script>
<br>
<input type='button' value = "Go" onClick="load()">
</body>
</html>
It's not recommended to upload it anywhere on your webpage as it could bring you a cease and desist letter from Jim Davies' lawyers. But you can use it safely from your hard drive.

The results can be either incoherent, surrealist or funnier than the original garfield, it works with the capacity of the brain to find meaning and sequential logic in a random suite of events.

honestly never really liked garfield...but then years and years ago got shown  this, without the obese cat in it the strip is actually quite a bit funnier, lol.

i'm sorry i was an obstacle to your enjoyment of a comic strip written by a sellout, megalomaniac old man.
