I think you should tone the bounce down on the idle, it looks kind of odd to have the same bounce on both the idle and run.
I second that.

I've started to teach myself pixel art lately (using open source art has run its course in my games). Starting with super lofi, minimalist style.

Would love any and all criticisms and comments on how I can make them better. I'll be the first to admit the dying animation frames completely suck.

Note: I'm not an artist by any means.

@Eigen - Thanks a lot! I bumped up the colors since you mentioned it.

I like the pilots animation. The side-scrolling guys could use some work, but the portraits are great!

Not sure if this works here since it's in-game and post-processed, but here's a screen from Gearend.

Hey, thanks! Smiley I got a few steps from this pixel around here in the next few pages back. It might help show you how it's all a matter of blocking in a refining the shapes, and pixel clusters. Sorry if I can't explain it well, heh.

Well, I didn't understand anything, hehe Tongue

So if you don't mind, can you make a small sprite that won't take much time? And show the process through that? It will be easier to understand and study.

Bahh that sword  Shocked
Looks sweet. The legs and the way the torso is twisted is a tad odd in my opinion, but I dig the solidness of it all.

Made this character for my 1GAM game.

Used 3 colors. Was wondering if the outline should be dark or not?because the overall background of the game will be light blue or almost close to white.

And any tips on how I can make a walk cycle?  Shrug

Here's some map graphics I've been working on for my game demo. This pictures unfinished which may be evident. It's drawn in photoshop and I'll be constructing my game with the OHRRPGCE Engine. Sorry it's so huge... I'll try not to do that next time I post.

It's a very quick edit for 1st of april, I refuse to have swords (unless they are made of laser) in a scifi game haha  Smiley
