This one's from a while back: there was a problem with the graphic cache not getting refreshed and for the life of me I could not figure out why this was happening because the code was fine.

Accidentally using the vertical value when I was meant to use the horizontal value for the calculation causing it to copy the tiles into the wrong location on screen (this is not on a modern platform so bugs look like that instead).

Fun thread! Here's my latest. Below is a simple height map represented in a bitmap. The circular area in the middle is supposed to be a flat area (all the same color). We want elevations near the circle to gradually fade to the circle's elevation, to avoid cliffs at the boundary. Therefore we apply a little math that gradually fades from the random height map value to the flat elevation, based on the distance from the circle. Forgot to mask out the circle itself, resulting in massive overflow within it. The result looks like a planet suspended in hyperspace, with green continents on a lavander sea.
