...what do you mean you've 'removed' it? I mean they're still there. The second one is #0... But then what's the first one!?

I'm very flattered that you included Avant-Garde, and I love the way you did it too, pinpointing the uniqueness of the concept.
Excellent contribution to the scene!

This is awesome! It would be great to have something similar for the sports competition so we can easily see other peoples progress.

I'll probably add a special color for the compo in the next few issues, because I definitely want to feature those games in there!

A new game making competition has begun on the TIGSource forums and the theme is SPORTS! Don't expect the usual football and hockey games from indie developers though! A month from now, we will be playing a crazy series of sports games, from the hyperviolent (Dodgefist, By the Law of Blades) to the hilarious (Limbolympic). 21 Games: 2001: A Chess Odyssey, All my balls, Avalanche Week-End, By the law of blades, Dodgefist, Dungeon Dashers, The Few, Flug GB, Gladiator School, Greedy Piggy Chase, Gunbox, Jet Lance Polo, Limbolympic, New World Songbirds, Project Netsuke, Screaming Snakeball, Sneeze Kendo, Something About Knives, The Threat, Tiny Football Manager, X-Pong Armageddon Tournament Edition As always, click the picture to see the interactive version on Venus Patrol!

Game makers are still working hard on the Sports compo, as the list of participants keeps growing We now have an incredibly wide variety in the competition - strategy football (or "Footbrawl"), cake fighting, parkour platforming, rabbits and bees (sic)... We're also quite intrigued by some non-sports games on the forums, like Fran Bow, a brutally dark point and click adventure game, and Papers, Please, whose designer calls a "dystopian document thriller". 21 Games: Buccaneer Bombardment, Buckets of Blood, Codename Diggers, Dog Racing, Dungeon Colony, Football Time, Footbrawl Quest, Fran Bow, Home Run, Loot Panic, Nature Sports, Papers Please, Parkour Parcourse, Pole Vaultage, Project GNH20, Renegade Sector, Secret of Ox, Sugar Loco, TinyFight, Wrestling, Velodrome, World Pro Psychic Rock Paper Scissors Post updated - links to the article!Click the pic to see the interactive, image map version on Venus Patrol!

I've updated the post for issue 7 - it now links to the Venus Patrol article, which appeared this morning instead of Friday because of a classic email attachment error on my part!

Game designers don’t have time for any of that turkey stuff and those pesky Black Friday sales – they’ve got amazing games to make! We’ve got six brand new devlogs in the forums this week – among them the gorgeous tile-based strategy game Oberon’s Court, rocking epic dragons and volcanoes, The Burger Flipper, a point and click adventure game set in a fast food restaurant, and Droidnaught, a first-person dungeon crawler à la Eye of the Beholder, but set in a sci-fi world! Meanwhile, other developers are still working extra hard on the Sports game competition on the TIGSource Forums, with some titles evolving quite nicely, like Buckets of Blood and By the Law of Blades. 20 Games: Bowling Game, Buckets of Blood, The Burger Flipper, By the Law of Blades, Cavernaut, Chroma, Droidnaught, Eris, Famaze, Final Fantasy Football, Nave, Oberon's Court, Pause Ahead, Scout, Skydiving Yo, Sole Gunner, Trenchbrain, Turbo Ball, Ultima Ratio Regum and an untitled game! As usual click on the picture to see the interactive version on Venus Patrol!
