Looks like an interesting game mechanic. Are you planning on making it purely a puzzle game, or will you be adding some action element with enemies? I'm asking because that screen shake effect seems like it would be sick paired up with some vertically-scrolling shadow of the colossus-style boss fights Well, hello there!

looks like it'll be really satisfying to play - the screen shake and teleport lines feel really good even just watching it. can't wait to see it with some art.

It is very much an action game! Enemies and bosses soon to come! Each world will have a boss. I have a few "screen-size or larger" boss encounters in mind.

The puzzle elements are mostly to keep you on your toes. Very much like some of the later Super Meat Boy levels, the game will push you forward. The puzzle-based enemies and environments will hopefully keep you thinking.

Normally I wouldn't bump my thread again in the same day, but I have what I feel are important questions for you guys!  Facepalm

I'm messing with resolution. Some have said that the game is a bit too fast. Also, at the current resolution you have to look pretty far when screen-wrapping. On top of that, we're so zoomed out that the animations don't get the attention that they deserve.

The previous GIFs were 960x540.
I tried slowing things down a bit and shrinking the overall play area.

Thanks, guys! So much positive feedback! I've had this/these mechanics in mind for quite some time, but didn't get around to messing with any of them until Hunter introduced me to indiE3 and the indiE3Jam. This was the jam game that I started roughly 6-7 days ago, but it has been super fun to work on so I'm developing it into something more.  Smiley

I guess I can use this as an opportunity to speak more about the game. In SUPER III you play an alien who's mission is to clean up, gather resources, and find survivors after a galactic ware. All inhabitable landmasses have been torn to pieces and must be explored. The game will feature a star/goal system similar to Mario 64/Sunshine. One of the possible missions in each level will be to rescue a survivor. That spaceman is said survivor  Smiley

Well "all inhabitable land masses have been torn to pieces" so I don't really blame him/her.
Also, maybe he/she's just trying to preserve species and/or experiment on them.
