Hey!

I'm starting as child. Then as schoolboy. Then as quantum physicist. Then as 3D modeller. Then as programmer, gamedesigner or simply man orchestra.
Some games are released, some not.

I plan to soon release fully_My mobile game.

Hi Guys,

my name is Rafał and I am a half of a two man indie studio called Lichthund. We are based in a capital city of Poland - Warsaw. I am a programmer and use Unity as an engine.

We are currently working on our first game called Lichtspeer. It's a game about throwing a lightspear (think of a lightsaber that's not actually a saber but a spear. Also it's German) at hipster giants, penguin vikings, space walruses and so on ;P
We plan to publish it in February/March 2016 on PC/MAC/Linux and Wii U.

Nice to meet you all!

Hi all! My name's Michael, and I'm an indie game dev from Perth, Western Australia.

I was fascinated by video games when I was a little kid growing up in the 80's. I loved playing them, but I really wanted to make my own games. So I picked up the programming manual for my family's Commodore 64 and taught myself BASIC. I've been obsessed ever since!

But as I got older, my dreams of making games took a backseat and I focused on a career in software development. I learned a lot and had some great experiences, but after doing that for around 13 years I found myself looking for something more. I wasn't getting any younger, so I decided to quit my job last year and take a crack at pursuing my original passion!

I've since founded an indie game dev startup called +7 Software. It currently only consists of me, but hopefully I have some success and that may change! Smiley

Currently I'm working full-time on +7 Software's first title - a multiplayer arcade-style shooter called Final Days. It's the first game I've worked on that I'm actually going to try and get to market, so fingers crossed! Smiley I'm going to start a dev log about it here soon so that I can share some of my experiences with you all.

I'm looking forward to being involved in the community here! See you around!

Hi, everyone, I'm Aaron - aka EgoAnt.

I have been a full-time developer and part time game developer for about 15+ years. I have worked on a lot of Flash games, educational games, and government projects and now I'm working on my first big game in a long time.

My new game is just called DAWT and is a VR PacMan / Bomberman inspired game. It's my first game in Unity and so far I am loving it.

Hi all!

Just signed up - I'm loving this forum. I'm a film composer (worked on Agent 47: Hitman, The Giver, The November Man) who is also a programmer and indie game lover. In fact, I've been a programmer longer than I've been a musician. I'm hoping to find someone here to possibly collaborate with. My dream is to write music for a fantasy RPG game (I grew up playing old-school Dungeons & Dragons Wink).

We're a 7 person team and have been working fairly well with one another. We are excited as we are moving into the publishing phase for our first game, The League of Metal Men. We've joined this forum to not only announce our title but also meet new people and discover everyone's games :D

Hi all!

My name is Richie de Wit. I'm from Holland (isn't that weird? -- sorry for Austin Powers reference). I've studied Game Art for four years in Amsterdam and I'm now doing a Bachelors degree in Art and Economics (I'm in my third year), to become a game producer. I'm currently doing my internship at Excamedia, a medium sized indie game studio, in Utrecht. My job is to manage a new project and to oversee and guide eight other interns.

Other passions: one day start my own company, doing marketing, come up with great game ideas, networking, playing games (duh) and I'm also a movie fanatic.

Cheers!  Beer!

Heyyy heyy everyone!

My name is Kasey, go by the moniker Polkritude (Poke-er-tude). I am a composer and sound designer who loves to play games like everyone else on this site haha. I personally love to write music that has a jazz influence in it, but am open to writing in other styles. I am a clarinet player and guitarist. I have a degree in clarinet performance and play guitar as a hobby! So far I've been able to compose music for a few games, but always looking to work with other developers on their projects! If you'd like to work together in the future, you can hit me on here or email me at [email protected]. Also feel free to check out my portfolio! I am also getting ready to start a music specialist degree from Berklee College Of Music in a few days!

May as well write a introductory post here. It won't be long, hopefully, and I can get to playing and reviewing some games.

I'm Miguel Boura or CDBProductions, and I'm coming fresh out of uni with a games design degree, and a minor in programming. I am a deaf student, and I have varied hobbies including swimming, video games, and everything related to the internet geek forums (MLP, Doctor Who, Adventure Time) So yes, I have a lot of interests basically.

On to my love for games; and I have quite the seasoned history of gaming; my first game was Darkwing Duck and Donkey Kong Land 2 way back on the GameBoy, and I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. Favorite games include Mario, Zelda, Uncharted 2, Fallout 3, Burnout and the small ones in between.

On to my area of expertise, I've taught myself to use Unreal Engine 4 and have created my first proper game with that, but before that I used Unity for one semester at uni, but I will branch out to more engines in the future.

Greetings everyone! I'm Walter a.k.a. Cruiser1, and I'm pleased to join this community. Smiley I have a Computer Science degree and have worked as a computer programmer for large corporations, and the skills learned in those environments of course help in creating games. One of my main hobbies (and therefore my favorite type of game) is anything involving Mazes.

For a game I've contributed to, I designed the Maze in "Huntsman: The Orphanage", available on Steam.

An example game I produced solo is "The Hunger Games Simulation", inspired by the book series:

Hello! I am a maker of things. Lately, my work tends to fall in the interactive new media art, and experimental game categories, as well as in between those things.

I have a number of projects in the works, as well as some completed ones.

I'm a big fan of amateur games that are born solely of a passion to create. I'm interested in outsiders who create on a natural desire to get something out there, and I feel closely connected to those works.

Some examples I can think of are: Space Funeral, Dink Smallwood, Gravitation

But I also feel that some commercial works can capture this type of creative energy. In this sense I'm a big fan of Earthbound... well that's my main example. If anyone can recommend me some other games that tap into this type of intuitive and abstract creative energy I'd love to hear suggestions and play them.

I am very interested in communicating with hobbyists and experimenters who are making video games, maybe in a nontraditional or abstract context

I'm Morin. I'm a level designer. I've been making maps for 18 years and 5 years professionally at places like Disney, EA, Activision and Ubisoft. I'm out of the AAA game and currently teaching four level design oriented courses at a video game school.

In my free time I spend a ton of time in Unreal and researching level design related subjects.

Good to be here!

Hi all, my name is Premek.
I'm a developer. I develop boring things for a living so I'd like to create some fun game in my free time just for my entertainment and maybe for someone's else too.
When I was like 15, more than 12 years ago, I made one stupid little game. It was probably my first real and finished thing I made and put it online and a few people played it and hopefully some of them liked it. The story was: you're a homeless guy, living in a woods, picking berries and selling them so you can buy a house.
I didn't play games in last years, I just wanted to create something new. I didn't know what to make so I started to re-create the similar game about the homeless guy. Lets see how it will end.
I registered here today (and want to do a dev log here) to keep myself motivated to finish my game. Also, I'd like to meet some people here to help me with graphics and sound maybe.

Hi there, I'm Michael, French indie developer currently located in Malmö, Sweden.

I used to be a game programmer on some AAA and not-so-AAA games, but this year I went indie and started working on my own game, a 3D scifi space adventure with timelines.

I'm wondering when is the right time to start a dev log, so in the mean time I will be lurking around, spying on other indie game developers Smiley
