This is my first time doing this kind of stuff; If anyone could give me their opinion on this art-style I would appreciate it.  It's all vector stuff.

Thanks!

I quite like it, though I think the gridlines are a bit too strong at the moment.

it's cute! does the grid itself happen to be static (fixed to the camera) or parallax, by any chance?

I do think the different line thicknesses in the cross hatching from object to object make some look like they are closer/further than each other, like the stuff in the middle is further away than the platform the character is on and the tree.

The grid is gonna scroll.  I agree that the middle platform looks really light, shouldn't be too hard to darken that.

But otherwise I'm going to start breaking these platforms up and importing 'em into game maker.

I think the art could look really cool if the cross lines slightly slowly wiggled. It doesn't need it though. The style you have is nice.

Looks cool, like someone doodled the game onto grid paper with a pen.

If not dancing squiggle lines like Mixerman said (which I agree would be sweet), at least maybe static squiggly or just less perfect lines, as if hand drawn, which it already kinda looks like. Like Doodlejump style.

The crosshatching is a nice touch!

Love this artstyle (I agree the gridlines are a bit too strong).

Reminds me of when I used to draw video game ideas on grid paper as a kid. (Not as good looking of course)

I'm mostly bothered by the fact that one row of the grid isn't the same height as the others.

This looks great. Same thing about the grid being too present. The drawing style is really clean and effective though.

Looks hella cute actually  Smiley
Maybe it would be better to line up the grid and the outlines of your "tiles". If you draw on paper, you mostly also follow the grid, at least that's what i did as a kid.
