What do you use for your image hosting? I've been having trouble making sure screenshots/gifs will remain accessible as long as possible, which rules out some one shot hosting sites. It seems that really the only decent alternative is using tumblr or having to upload it to a personal site.

http://minus.com/ seems to be long enough (at least if you have an account there, i don't know about one shot). I have a few images from 4+ years ago and they are still there.

http://tinypic.com/

Allows you to create an account and access your uploads. Allows direct linking as well.

I highly recommend imgur. Everything stays up for a very long time (honestly, I don't know how long - I've never noticed anything of mine ever being taken down, and I've been using it for a few years now), it's totally free, and you don't have to make an account or anything.

They do have a size cap, though (10mb, I think), so I typically host big gifs on gfycat. It primarily converts gifs into html5 movies, but also hosts normal gifs without any compression.

I second imgur.  Been using it for quite a while and all my images and gifs are still going strong.

New Dropbox accounts don't have the same Public folder features as older ones.  This won't work for new accounts.

I vote for IMGUR, too.  It's used like crazy all over the web and I'm not sure I've ever seen an image die on it.
