thanks! the soldier is 866 tris, plus 166 tris for the gun. I wanted to keep it under 1000 tris, but whatever...

I get a very Vagrant Story vibe from it. And that's a good thing.

hi! a lowpoly soldier I made last weekend: Could you post the texture for this soldier? I'm trying to learn how to paint textures, but I suck at it. I'm especially interested in the process of drawing a face.

sure though, as a base for the texture, I made a high poly model, baked its AO and also baked a normal map.

sure
Thanks, I'm trying to model lowpoly Jason Statham's face right now, and I will be trying to texture it using projective paint etc.

hi! a lowpoly soldier I made last weekend:
Public service announcement - solid metal plates on your abdomen will prevent you bending over like that Looks like you might also want significantly more samples in your AO bake, keep it up though @nospoon - consider using vertex paint rather than projective and then baking the vertex colours to texture once you're happy with it. Vertex paint is much faster CPU wise last time I checked, and you dont need an unwrap, and you can work directly on the highpoly and it'll bake down fine - though be careful not to use dynamic topo after painting or UVing your model

not if it's some flexible inteligent metal plate from the future (not).

Here is an old character animation of mine. I see a lot of issues with it now, but I still get a kick out of seeing my characters come alive. This looks so great!

WIP of a Starcrat-Inspired warpgate for Terran. Still needs textures obviously, but the model is mostly where I want it to be. Texturing is the bane of my existence when it comes to 3D, but this is small enough that it should be manageable.

I used the games loading image as my character reference, but took some liberties with details.
This is so awesome. It's like Spelunky showed up in Joe Danger. Whoa, blast from the past! Glad you like it

@Tony - I feel like he's going to bite my fingers off if I get too close. He's lulling me in with a false sense of friendship, then SNAP!

Made a guy kind of like a mix between Wind Waker and Mega Man (proportion-wise) a few days ago. It was just kind of a test. Turnaround: Picture in the BGE: It's not rigged or anything yet - I just moved his pupils to stare at you, haha. @Elliott D. - That's really excellently modeled! @Dafa.gines - Cool particle effects and texture work on the grass and tree! It's really slick. EDIT: Haven't done 3D in a while. Popped this guy out this morning.
Hah, cool character. I like how detailed he is, despite how simple he is. WIP of a Starcrat-Inspired warpgate for Terran. Still needs textures obviously, but the model is mostly where I want it to be. Texturing is the bane of my existence when it comes to 3D, but this is small enough that it should be manageable.
Really cool. I like the electric sphere in the center - nice touch.
