So I've been listening to a great deal of the comedy button lately that I feel like I need to take a needed break from comedic podcasts. It hit me recently after seeing the announcement for Smash Bros and listening to an old podcast with Edmund McMillen that I have been deprived of video game oriented news and entertainment for quite some time, that even my game controllers have collected more dust than usual (I use a usb adapter for my SNES controller).

The bottom line is I'm looking for some fun and informative podcasts to get into that are about gaming and maybe more specifically about indie games, with information about new titles and discussions about the development of games. I need to immerse myself in this culture again and get giddy about games. Hopefully it will help push me to put some more effort into fleshing out some ideas I have for games, but mostly I just want to get caught back up again.

So do any of you have a favorite podcast or two that talk about games and or indie games? How about dev podcasts? Please provide names and links. Thank you!

Second for Giant Bomb, but I also enjoy Mega64's podcast if you're looking for a very casual gaming themed podcast with frequent gaming discussion. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYpYK21EIf22yQnAxJ6odFdpVmCn5TiDf

it's still pretty new but it's been good so far.

This is also one of my favorites.

Both of these are really casual, and see to be interested in talking to the developer at a personal level.

The Game Informer Podcast is actually pretty good.

Composer Quest is not always gaming related, but often involves game composers.

Experimental Game Dev Podcast interviews some interesting subjects.

Me, David Williamson and Mark Foster do an Indie Games podcast. Give it a listen. And then I'll send you an apology.

Match3 is my current favorite gaming podcast, and the only one I listen to every week right now. I also enjoy Giant Bombcast, as most do, but I think the Giant Beastcast deserves more love.
