I finally checked out the demo. I stopped for now at the part with the spiderwebs and everything shooting at you. It's pretty fun. I do wish you could look up and down more, some enemies' attacks come with little warning and I wish you could collect all jewels, etc., near the exit of a screen instead of exiting. I think the exit needs to be all the way at the end of the screen. It seems like when you touch the arrow is when you leave and can't return.

thank you for the feedback. Could you tell me some enemies that seem to attack without enough warning? As for the edge-of-the-screen problem, I dont know how often that would actually happen, but I could try and find a way to make it so that it doesnt

Thank you for replying so fast. I forget exactly which enemies gave me that problem. I'll get back to you after I play some more. self- As for the edge of the screen problem, that seems to happen all the time. The game exit's you when you're about an inch away from the end of the screen.

I keep an eye on this thread, so I usually respond pretty quickly. You're welcome. If it's the blue butterflies, I recently fixed them so they flash orange before they shoot (not in the demo though)

Sure, you just want to see them in motion? this second one is meant to go faster, but the gif doesnt seem to want to play at full speed.

I also loved the voice acting and this game has some of the best looking cutscenes I've ever seen in a 2D title. I appreciation good production values.

Oh God, I love that cactus-enemy so much ! I wonder what ability it have. By the way, Valerill spinning is great too. At first I thought that 4th and 8th frames will spoil the whole animation, but I was wrong. Great job !

I need a cactus friend. You're welcome. I'm still enjoying the demo. It's good relaxation for a mildly stressful week.

Getting an awesome Megadrive feeling about the artwork on this one. Great work.

Any chance for an OSX build? I'm really interested to give it a try. I saw that post a while ago, but then been busy and not active. when I came back; I got amazed how far you are now. Good luck, and let me know if OSX is not doable, that game worth installing bootcamp -m

@Bluebutton, thank you! There are indeed a lot of Megadrive influences in the graphics, and even some gameplay elements/designs!
@mamoniem, sadly Im not sure if it is possible, Im working in gamemaker 8.0 which I do not believe allows for OSX builds. I appreciate the effort to play it though!

I felt kind of dirty using the shield and shield combo on The Dragon since it made the fight so easy instead of going back and trying to get its pattern down but oh well. I love when you think this game will settle in how it plays but then switches it up. I am loving the hover ability. Which is amazing since the game played so well back at the start when you could only use one ability at a time.
