Will all powerups be "double-edged" like lightening?

Rainbow + Horse = Terrifying Unicorn


Rain + Plants = Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors)

Ya - its going to be up to the enemy type to determine how each power up affects them. Some enemies will have a different reaction to each one, and some enemies will only react to certain ones, & just shrug if you hit them with one that doesnt affect them.

thats the basics, but we'll play around with this idea and see if its actually fun or not. I really want to put some 'play' into this game, so its not JUST solving puzzles and getting to the end of the level. I'd like there to be some open-ness to how you interact with the world.

We've been playing around with that idea and I think we're leaning towards unlocking them one at a time (per game area), but having it so you don't have to do the game areas in a specific order. So kind of megaman-ish.

I've just finished up a long stretch of part time work I was doing at night after my full time job - - so needless to say I haven't been gamedeving much lately.

Now that it's over I'm back at it.

I've started a list of enemy types and how each power up affects them. I'd like this list to be really long as I think the more enemies the better!
