So what is Flink developing this in, out of curiosity? And have you guys gotten things started yet? Smiley

Oh my god, this is exciting and beautiful. Please please keep it up, I love everything I've seen so far.

(P.S. It would be notable for just the art, but the fact that it's about coffee...*sigh* Smiley).

It's made in c++ in my own framework which is built on the SFML library. I had the basics in the framework ready from before so now I'm working on a new animation system with xml support and integrating a physics engine with the framework.

Some enemy ideas:

I've been watching a lot of Hayao Miyazaki movies recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if these seem influenced by him =)

Awesome. And excellent choice of inspiration. I went to the Ghibli museum recently, it was epic Smiley

I haven't checked this thread for like a month; and it's somehow gotten even more epic!  Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

If this game lives up to it's art, it will no doubt become a classic, and from what I can see of it, be better than Cave Story!

Though of course, the internet won't act like it, because Cave Story has that Japanese style and all those anime/manga geeks love it because of that, and keep hyping it even now because their internet sub-culture is obsessed with hyping.

Even those little black balls resemble the ones from the movie, oh and the big robot from Laputa Castle in the Sky.

It's always nice to see a Studio Ghibli fan :3

I'll admit to not having seen any Ghibli movies, though I do intend to get around to them at some point (I'm not much for anime, but these sound good).

Related to Ghibli, I found this quite amusing.  Smiley

Oh my, I actually didn't notice the robot one, it's been so long since I've seen Laputa. SUBCONSCIOUSNESSNESS!
