Smoothing out all of the transitions while reloading/shooting. Still a little bug I can't figure out though. For a single frame, it flashes to the "in air" sprite.

Working on something for the first time in ages! Adding some stuff to my Ludum Dare game, seeing if I can flesh it out a bit more.

Adorable palette! Really cute and sunny! You should consider toning down the outlines though.

That plasma background effect is awesome Working on something for the first time in ages! Adding some stuff to my Ludum Dare game, seeing if I can flesh it out a bit more. That palette is pure eye candy, I love it I also like the outline, it kind of gives a Yoshi's Island feel

Thanks guys! This is a great rundown of how to do that kind of plasma effect. I was super excited when I found out that AS3 supports palette mapping, haha. Ishi, I love those bombs. I don't know why, but I've always had a thing for shiny round bombs like that.

Working on more code optimizations for Tower Storm, it's all done in Javascript (NodeJS backend) and unfortunately most of the Javascript profiling tools are either super complicated to get working, are buggy, or don't provide any useful information.
Current focus is the bots calculating the best position to place towers, it's being done every frame when really the best positions can be cached (for now).
As much as I love Javascript, C++ was so much easier to make fast (and not have memory leaks due to closures).

Ishi@ Really nice work as always! However, I would suggested adding faint tones to the outlines that match the sprite. I've always been impartial to colored outlines as opposed to black ones, and here especially I think the contrast is too stark. It really flattens out what would otherwise be a very nice mockup. JLJac@ That's droolworthy. Movement on the ghost looks great.

I'm re-doing Strat Tech's interface to fit in 640x480 instead of 800x600. IMO it looks better now, with less wasted space.

Right now, this is my gaming project. Or, at least, its development blog. http://melyzentrum.tumblr.comI'm trying to work on a visual style for my game, and this is what I'm working with so far. I'd love to hear some feedback - critiques, advice, or whatever. I just started it recently. (I don't even have a programmer on board just yet http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=33453.0 ) Still, I think that, based on the progress of the concept stages, it's going to be a great experience. Let me know what you guys think!

It's even harder to gain traction when you dump images so fat they don't even pretend they're inside the margins.
