Hey, this just started as a mockup today. This will be a side project since i'm already developing a big platformer already.

Here is a video of the mockup fully running as a platformer. I took my time to try a new way for my collision and it seems to work splendid!
I'll probably keep the player in the game as small as possible. Not like the fullscreen video on youtube. That just looks horrible!

Your 'Nova' looks to me like 'Novo'.

To me too, and this font has a lot of character, so I thought I might suggest something for the "a":



I added the little bit in the upper right corner of the "a", but to do that I had to decrease the height of the rectangles makign up the "a" and the "o" by one square (2 pixels in your png).

Hmm not a bad idea to ad a serif there. But i'm gonna do it somewhat diffrent.

And i'm hold back currently. I forgot my adaptor this weekend at home, spending the weekend with the girl. So now i'm stuck using cs2 photoshop with imageready on her pc. It takes me ages to do something I do in a few minutes in photoshop cs6!! Frustratiooons Mock Anger

Also I can't seem to be able to make my pixels transparant in this version. Now I got an ugly white outline in my glow!

And I think i'm satisfied with this serif for the "a".



Edit:
I found out how to do the transparancy in cs2 >.<
Shame the background on the TIG forum is so white. It works on a darked background though.

For some reason LiceCap makes it look shakey.
It's very fluent actually!


Made it so that he can hang with his staff. Gotta fit the hitregion to the staff. Also gotta make a hanging animation for my player. He instantly hangs wich looks wierd. I want the transition from jumping to hanging.
Also forgot to turn debug mode off >.<
