hey and how about a global effect instead of a local one? it'll affect everything (exept the user) and will slow the things for a few seconds (music included). is it posible?

If it doesn't slow the user, then it is still slowing time locally.

man you got to remove the blue cube and the umbrella as items. blue cube is very pointless and is part of Lyle's attacks. the umbrella appearing randomly makes Juni useless :/

The Blue Cube is still a solid thrown item. It is much better than Lyle's gray cubes.
Juni is goldeen. She's not supposed to be useful.

Agreed on the Cube front, but I want to kick up a discussion about Juni. Namely: Do we need a goldeen?

Agreed, but do we need her to be nearly useless?
One possible way to make Juni less useless would be to make her shield you from ranged attacks (with her umbrella, of course) if she's between you and your opponent. Not useless, and not too powerful.

Couldnt you do a global time slow, then speed up the character by the difference to to compensate?

If the engine can't slow down locally, it can't speed up locally either.
It's not that what you are suggesting is impossible. However, it would require hours of work to get right, and it's not worth it for such a minor effect.

i didn't mean locally. GLOBAL time slowing + USER speed up (already implemented with that item that boost you). would it require lot of hours too ?

Hot soup only changes movement and jumping speed. It doesn't affect attacking speed.

then it will need tons of hours of work... how sad. however, is there going to be fighting like items? like the fan or the beam sword on SSB. i know it'll require new sprites but is just a silly question

Certainly not. That would require making a number of new sprites for every character and weapon combination. Plus, it takes away from the uniqueness of the characters. that's not the lectro mine, that's just a common mine. can we have both ^^?
The electric mine seems more interesting to me, but I don't see why not. The sprite would need to fit Indie Brawl's style, though.

Well, if you've nothing good to say, and all that stuff.. Figure it sits neutral for a few seconds before popping up into an "active" state. Might not be saturated enough..

Might not be saturated enough.. that is awesome. will it be like SSB mine or it'll have a range of detection? i think it's too big for being like the classic SSB mine but if you do it with a detection range it'll be too much like electro-mine (unless electro mine had an extra effect like stunning with the rays or something)
