Way back when KnP was first released I saw it on a shelf somewhere, and asked my father if I could have it, since the box made it sound pretty cool. He was like, whats wrong with the languages you already know? He was just being a dick, but I'm glad to have dodged that bullet at least until a few years later when a friend gave me a copy of TGF.

:D genericuser> Even if I lose this, I'll still know that I put Stargoat through the misery of using KNP

Update: After some discussion, both parties agreed to start the duel, 12 hours early. I have finished my entry to this glorious duel between me and Stargoat - a demake of Messhof's Party Boat. Gentlemen, I present to you: MESSHOF's GENERICUSER'sFUN SHIP<smn> the name alone worthifies the download DOWNLOAD IT NAOUPDATE: Some people were having problems with Russian/Greek fonts - if you get the same problem, copy "Commodore 64.ttf" to C:/Windows/Fonts.

Stargoat presents Quite a Bad GameDestructobot is really unhappy. The other bots have invaded his secret base, and were teasing him, so he has no option, but to KILL THEM ALL. This is a demake (not a terribly good one mind you...) of Error Free's "Tapan Kaikki" - A violent top-down shooter where the objective is to "kill all". Here it is, such as it is... I KILL ALLAddendum: Fuck KnP.

pfft, KnP is the epitome of cool. What are you guys talking about? And I'm assuming bad as in "baaaaaaaad" like Michael Jackson would ask "Who's BAD" *shamon* Clickteam products aren't bad... they just need updated.

From what I hear about MMF, they're really overdue with some major overhaul of their software.

Aye, this is very true. I had always been a huge supporter of Clickteam ever since I was a kid. But they just kinda, gave up. And I've moved on, too. If they would take a look at something like Construct, which I consider MMF only freaking godly, then updated their software then things would be great. I just get tired of trying to trick MMF into doing things. =|

What we need to do is send an e-mail to Yves and butthead over in France and get like, everyone to sign it right... then as they read it we bust in their house and punch them in the face. -PENCERKOFF

But they just kinda, gave up. Yeah, right around TGF. For like ten years there was almost nothing new (apart from dumb shit like jamagic), they cockteased us with all this great stuff at convention announcements that never materialised, and then they did it again with MMF2. Construct started gaining momentum finally galvanised them but it's too little, too late when there's something better and freer available. I loved the experience and the community drama and all that, but I've had a really low opinion of the software for a while now.

I'm just waiting for Construct to reach 1.0 status to give it a whirl, though I believe it's Windows-only, and that's a bit saddening to me. I have Windows, but I want Mac and Linux and Whatever users to play my stuff too.

It's almost totally whirlable already, if you're yet to give it even a small whirl.

Yeah, that's really bothering. I could live with the Windows-only IDE, but how they crippled themselves by making their runtime engine DirectX-based is just sad.

Some guy was working on an SDL port at some point; I think that's in the SVN/CVS/whatever still.
