Well, it was a bit short notice/disorganised - seems like most people only check this thread once every week or two?, but it was a slightly better turnout than the one at Easter - and as always, beer was good Smiley - it's probably going to be fairly quiet until the Warwick/Coventry students are back, though

To get it a bit more organised... I suggested making it the first Thursday of each month and alternating between Leamington and Coventry

Which would make the next one 7th July, in Coventry (pub to be chosen nearer to the time, somewhere within easy walking distance of the station)

Glad it went well!

Warwick Game Design meet on Thursdays during term-time, what about first Wednesday of the month instead?

Should be up in Coventry by the next one. Smiley

Yeah it was enjoyable! I think a more solid regular time is a good plan. Also alternating between Coventry and Leamington suits me very well.

Looks like I missed it again  Cry for shame. Would it be worth setting up an midland indies mailing list or something?

We're trying to make it something more regular - looks like the first Wednesday of the month. So the next couple would be:

6th July - Coventry   (What was that little place with the beer garden called? - seemed a good choice if the weather is decent, otherwise Browns?)

3rd Aug  - Leamington (Jug+Jester?)

Do you mean Whitefriars?

I'm actually gonna be back in the country for around that time, though my plane gets in on the 6th so I dunno if I'll be able to get there on time. I'll certainly try, though!

I'm up for Whitefriars or Inspire. Or anywhere really. We should decide!

So:

Next meet is at 6:30 on Wednesday 6th July: at Inspire, Coventry [CV1 2PS]

Are random lurkers welcome?  I'm in Rugby but the trains seem pretty good, could get there by half 7 ish.

How do we identify each other, is there a codeword, or should we all wear coordinated outfits?  Grin

My uniquely poorly timed flight from Montreal to England means that I shall miss both the Montreal indie meet up and the Coventry one!

Hope it goes well Smiley

As it looks like people only look at this thread every now and then, I thought it could be a good idea to create a mailing list which people can sign up to, and where we can post about future meet-ups. So, I created this google group http://groups.google.com/group/midlandsindies so feel free to sign up if you like, and I guess we can all make an effort and try to post there whenever a meet-up is approaching. (But we can still keep this thread going as well, I think Smiley )

And btw, the easiest way to post to it is to just send an e-mail to:  [email protected]
