Oh wow this looks gorgeous.

I'm interested to see how the move speed feels in actual practice, as it currently looks really slow and frustrating?

Wow your art really has improved a lot and its clear the improvement came from your persistence. That is a lot of stopped projects!

ps - as far as Game Maker/text box goes, you should be able to use a ds_list or ds_map to load strings as list items, check their length at each space character, and if the word is longer than the end of the box (some arbitrary number you've gathered from the length of the box) you can add in a newline character.

update: looking now I think your best bet is to use ds_list_read() check the docs. Either way it looks fine to me but if you want it to be perfect, then maybe try above!

Wow, just noticed this. Good job! Looks like you're on the way. Keep it up my friend Smiley

Awesome art! Very curious on how the game progresses. Also, how did you learn how to do that kind of art?
I guess I just learned from practice and doing art for other failed projects of mine over the years.  I never really followed any tutorials or anything, although I do get inspired by different games a lot.

I actually just compiled an album of screenshots from projects of mine between 2005 and 2014, if you're interested in seeing how my art has improved over the years: http://imgur.com/a/DHP4M
