This game is beautiful! I almost don't want to comment on anything for fear of sullying your obvious artistic and stylistic talent with my crappy opinions

I knew you would be happy to see that I've finally done something with that damn shield effect.

I can't get over how crisp and beautiful the UI and effects are. Love the color choices as well. Glad you found a new programmer.

Story-based singleplayer campaign is our main priority, as well as "new game+" mode, which will be much more complex than just boosting up enemy health/damage or other cheap tricks. I will probably write a whole post about my concept of ng+ later. Maybe something like survival, boss rush, speedrun mode, etc will be available as well. And no, we don't have any plans for multiplayer. It's too much additional work for such a small team with no budget whatsoever. I personally was thinking about making a whole coop campaign with it's own story, bossfights, coop mechanics, etc, after initial game release. But it's just my thoughts and dreams so I won't guarantee anything.

Thanks! Right now we are working only on our own enthusiasm. But maybe we will think about it later. And... here comes a new bossfight. It's a submarine aircraft carrier, armed to the teeth. It has 3 stages in total with some unique attack patterns for each stage. While designing it I've done some research on the subject, looking through some historical info and adapting some of the real life concepts to our gameplay. Hopefully after this one is finished we will move to some smaller, much more maneuverable air bosses. Because so far all of them was just a giant clumsy things with tons of guns, even tough it's not the main focus of the game.

Oh yes, of course! We will without a doubt finish the game. More updates should come soon enough. We know it has been quiet here.

SKYCHASERS! Don't get discouraged when people mention luftrausers, there are earlier 2d flight games out there!
How did you do the rotation of the aircraft, are they individual pixeld sprites or is there some form of automation going on?

Thank you. We appreciate the comments.
Closed Alpha testing is on the cards, so we will probably reach out to those who have shown interest in playing the game.
Fingerman: Rami Ismail has encouraged us, so we aren't really upset when people compare them. I am actually not the programmer that coded the plane rotation, but it is simply a sprite with a roll animation, combined with a direction. The sprite frames correspond to certain directions. I can try to explain it more clearly at some point, if you are interested.
