Hi everyone,
HAMMERWATCH is looking for a skilled pixel-artist to create three (3) of our bosses.These bosses should be animated with full features, two of them in 8 directions with different battle mechanics, such as slashing the sword to the ground etc. The last boss is a dragon, that is more static and will only move his paws and head with its long neck. More specific details will later in the post.
Hammerwatch is a Gauntlet inspired hack 'n slash game, set in a pixelated fantasy castle environment. The game has gotten a lot of attention the last few days and it's supposed to be completed the second quarter of this year. More info can be found at the greenlight page, or at Tigs own dev-blog section =)

The jobSpecific details about the characters and some rules and restrictions.
CharactersSkeleton KnightThe Skeleton Knight is the boss of Act 2 - the Armory - he is a skeleton with a huge zweihander. He has three different types of attack, one regular where is swings his sword at the player, one where he swings the sword down into the ground and the last where he spins around.
* Stand idle, 8 directions
* Run, 8 directions
* Attack normal, 8 directions
* Attack ground, 8 directions
* Attack spin, spin around
Looks and design, thinking something like king Leoric from Diablo, an armored skeleton with a sword.

He has several attacks but all his magic attack could probably be condensed into the same animation, then we just add different effects to the staff or something.
* Stand idle, 8 directions
* Walk, 8 directions
* Attack normal, 8 directions
* Attack magic, 8 directions
The design of this one, perhaps like the links below? Perhaps with the hood up, to make him stick out from the skeleton a bit more and of course with a magical staff...

* Moving the head, back and forth, with it's neck and all that
* Stomp his left front leg into the ground
* Stomp his right from leg into the ground
This boss is directly inspired from Gauntlet 4s last boss, but we're cutting his lower parts and adding his stomping legs. The dragon from Homm 2 hold a very attractive pixel quality look for this boss

Rules and restrictionsIt's very important that the artist can see the current pixel quality of our game and match that, there's really not much room for worse or better, I'm trying to keep the game as consistent as possible when it comes to the graphical quality. This is a very important. So, even if a boss is larger and has more frames per animation than our regular heroes and monsters, it should feel as if they were a part of this world.
The quality to match are environments like these:
And characters and items like these:
Payment and timeI would require a sample frame from one of the characters and also something like a portfolio or website so I can see what the person has done before and how well he/she could handle our quality. I'm really looking for pixel artists that know they can handle this work and the time it takes.
The timeframe for the entire job isn't really that long, maximum one and a half to two months tops, but then we're really, really stretching it.
Payment is a closed discussion, we use Paypal, payment is either per/h, sprite or what we agree upon.
If this seems like something for you, PM me or
